Who is responsible

Angle is published by Go To Agency SAS, a French simplified joint-stock company with a share capital of €1,000, 9 rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau, 21000 Dijon, France (RCS Dijon 944 980 762, VAT FR25944980762, phone +33 7 56 96 20 95), which is the controller of the data described below.

What we collect

When you email us, subscribe to the newsletter or answer the survey, we collect what you send (such as your email address and your answers). The backlink checker fetches the page you enter (and that site's robots.txt) to check it; we do not keep the URLs. Search Console exports you paste into the worklist and striking-distance tools are processed in your browser. We use privacy-light analytics to understand aggregate traffic.

How we use it

To reply to you, send the newsletter you asked for, publish aggregated survey results, and improve the site. We do not sell your personal data.

Cookies and storage on your device

Angle itself sets no cookies. The internal link worklist tool saves your progress in your browser's local storage, on your device only; clearing the site's data in your browser removes it. The only cookies are Google's advertising cookies, described below, and they are set only with your consent. If you follow an affiliate link to an SEO tool, that company may set its own cookies to credit the referral.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

Angle shows Google AdSense ads on its guides and reference pages, never on the free tools, the forms or the legal pages.

  • Purpose: showing ads, measuring their delivery and preventing ad fraud; with your consent, personalising them.
  • Legal basis: your consent (article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and article 6(1)(a) GDPR) for advertising cookies and personalised ads. Consent is requested by Google's consent message (a Google-certified consent management platform) on your first visit to a page that carries ads; declining is as easy as accepting. Without your consent, ads are not personalised.
  • Data: at Google, advertising identifiers stored in cookies when you accept them, your IP address, the page you view, your device and browser type, and your choice in the consent message. We send Google nothing you give us: no email address, no survey answer, nothing you paste into a tool.
  • Recipient: Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), which provides the service in the European Economic Area and is responsible for its own processing. Data may be processed by Google LLC in the United States; Google describes its safeguards at policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks.
  • Retention: set by Google for each of its cookies and described on its pages.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings. How Google uses cookies in advertising: policies.google.com/technologies/ads; how Google uses information from sites that show its ads: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time from the privacy settings link that Google's consent message shows on pages that carry ads, or by clearing the cookies of angletutoring.com in your browser: the message is then shown again.

Third parties

We rely on a small set of processors: an email or form provider (for newsletter sign-ups, survey answers and replies) and an analytics provider. Each only receives what it needs to do its job. For ads, Google Ireland Limited receives the data described in the advertising section above.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, object to its use, and withdraw your consent at any time, by emailing [email protected]. You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
