How our data is built
Link Pricing Index
The Link Pricing Indexaggregates publicly published pricing data into one view. We do not run a proprietary survey for it (yet); we curate the most credible recent studies (BuzzStream's 257,267-site and 52,671-site analyses, the Reporter Outreach State of Link Building 2026 survey of 500 professionals, Editorial.link, Ahrefs) and link every figure to its origin so you can verify it. The headline median is our synthesis across these sources for a quality editorial link. We refresh it as new studies publish and version it by year.
Statistics hub
The statistics are gathered by topic, and every single stat carries a link to the original source. We prefer primary studies and named surveys over listicles, and we date each figure. Nothing is invented; if a number cannot be attributed, it is not published.
Link Strength Score
The Link Strength Score is a deterministic model (not an opaque AI black box): it weighs domain authority, topical relevance and anchor safety into a 0-100 score. The rubric is public and the same code runs the free tool and the placement checkout.
