Resource page link building

Tactics

Earning links by getting your page added to curated resource or links pages that exist specifically to list helpful references on a topic.

Many sites maintain dedicated resource pages (often titled Helpful links, Useful resources, or found via searches like intitle:resources "keyword") whose entire purpose is to point visitors to good external content. Resource page link building means finding those pages and pitching your asset as a worthy addition. Because the page already wants to link out, the ask is low-friction.

Success depends on offering something genuinely list-worthy: a free tool, an in-depth guide, original research, or a calculator rather than a commercial landing page. The strongest prospects are topically relevant pages on real sites that are actively maintained, not abandoned link dumps.

Be selective about quality. Some resource pages exist only to sell or trade links and carry little value or even risk. Evaluate each prospect on relevance and editorial standards, and skip pages that link to anything for a fee. A handful of contextual, relevant placements beats a long list of low-quality directory-style links.
